A- REGISTRATION:
1-All team must register their team(s) with the League organizer, with the appropriate fees, by the set date in order to play in this competition. There are 20 maximum numbers of players that can be registered per team, but 15 players are only allowed to play its game. Team followers, a coach and assistant coach can be registered, too.
2- No team or individuals will be allowed to participate in our activities/competitions without settling their accounts with this league.

4- Playing team will only be accepted after the set date at the league committee’s discretion, and in the best interest of the league.
5-All new team, or existing team wishing to change their name, must submit their proposed name to the secretary for approval by the league committee. Players may change team providing that they inform the secretary with at least two weeks notice. Players are not allowed to change in the season.
6- there is no age restrictions on players and coaches. All Filipino players are allowed to play.
7-All teams must have a nominated team secretary and a coach.
B- COMPETITIONS
The league will organize the competition and provide fixtures and appointments. Once the League sends the appointments and fixtures, all the games showed in the document are confirmed. Please see below for postponements. Teams are required to be punctual to avoid unnecessary delays.

E- DUTIES OF A TEAM SECRETARY
1-Contact Person. You will be our point of contact; we will inform you of fixtures, appointments, and any other relevant information. You will need to have access to an email account and use of a mobile telephone. You are responsible for the management of your email account.
2-Postponements. You will inform the League in writing about any postponements with at least one (1) week notice.
3-Registration. The team secretary will send the team, players and coach (es) registration forms properly filled in and payment of the appropriate fees to the League.
4-The team secretary or its representative must attend the meeting of the League. The team secretary represents their team and can speak, present motions in writing and vote on their behalf. A minimum of fourteen (14) days notice is expected to present motions to the League.
5-Discipline. The team secretary will be informed of any disciplinary issue regarding their team. The team secretary may be asked for a report of their version of the facts under investigation.
6-On the day of the game, at least 30 minutes before tip-off, the coach or team secretary or their representative shall give the list of players to the table officials.

Unless it is clearly specified in this handbook, the Ashford Basketball League will apply FIBA rules & regulations. Participation in this competition requires all teams to agree to these terms and conditions mentioned above.
The League will be successful if all teams, committee members and officials have good communication skills and follow the guidance and advice in this handbook.
F - CLASSIFICATION OF TEAMS (FROM FBUK RULE)
1- Procedure Teams shall be classified according to their win-loss records, namely two (2) points for each game won, one (1) point for each game lost (including lost by default) and zero (0) points for a game lost by forfeit.
2- if there are two (2) teams in the classification with equal points, the result(s) of the game(s) between the two (2) teams involved will be used to determine the placing.
3- if the points and the goal average in the games between the two (2) teams are still the same, the classification will be determined by the goal average of all the game splayed in the group by each team.
4- if there are more than two (2) teams in the classification with equal points, a second classification will be established, taking into account only the results of the games between the involved teams.
5- if at any stage of this procedure the number of teams with equal points is reduced to only two (2) teams; the procedure in 1 and 2 above will be applied.
6- If in the second classification there are still teams with equal points, the goal average will be used to determine the placing, taking into account only the results of the games between the involved teams.
7- if there are still more than two (2) teams with the same goal average, the placing will be determined using the goal average from the results of all their games played in the group.
8- if at any stage of this procedure the number of teams with equal points is reduced to a tie still involving more than two (2) teams, the procedure, and beginning with 3 above, is repeated.
9- Goal average will always be calculated by division.
