ASHFORD BASKETBALL LEAGUE Most Valuable Player award
The Ashford basketball League (ABL) awards the Most Valuable Player award (MVP) at the end of the season. The winner is selected via votes from the referee, players, coaches and commisioners officials.
The winner was selected by the following format:
- 50% average statistical points (SP)
- 20% referee and coaches
- 20% players' votes
- 10% Commissioner's Office
- 1 SP for every point scored.
- 10 bonus points for every game won where the player played up to the semifinals.
- 15 bonus points for every game won where the player played in the Finals
- Deduction of 5 SP for every technical or flagrant foul without ejection, and
- In addition, a Filipino player can only be eligible for awards if he played in at
least 50% of his team's games.MVP voting begins at the start of the Finals series of the league. All statisitical
points gathered from all levels of competition (elimination/classification
round and playoffs) are included.
